Sauna Detox: Your Skin, Your Third Kidney!

By: Karens J.Jams
Why the Need to Detox?
There are over 50,000 foreign chemicals in commercial use. An incredibly large population are suffering from toxic illness. For those patients, sauna therapy is the only medically managed detoxification technique which releases stored impurities from body storage sites.
Your body is like an automation machine that runs 24/7 without stop! The byproduct of your metabolism is urea and this is toxic for your body!
The primary cause of disease is the accumulation of waste and toxins, which are not eliminated from our body. Some symptoms of toxicity include headaches, fatigue, skin problems, frequent colds, aching joints, cravings, digestive problems, allergies, and sensitivity to smells or chemicals.
Detox With The Right Herbs!
Given the right herbs, nourishment and some rest... Your body has the power to heal itself and return to a renewed state; functioning more efficiently than before.
While there are many detoxification programs available, they differ in their actions and their intent. Some detoxification programs (DP) work only with the bowels, others may cleanse the liver or the blood, and others may aid the kidneys or the skin in their functions. By combining these detox programs into a total health program, one can effectively restore their health to an optimal level and look younger in the process. When the body can eliminate toxins, then health is restored and energy and vigor are revitalized. Many different approaches to detoxification and wellness will work, even though they attack the problem at different levels. Any program that augments detoxification will improve health. Other factors must be considered in detoxification, like nutrition, water, and exercise, rest, sunshine, and fresh air.
Detoxification Baths
Use 1/2 cup of baking soda or use 1/2 cup of Epsom salt or use 1/2 cup of sea salt. Soak for 15-20 minutes and then scrub the skin gently with soap on a natural fiber. Within a few minutes the water will turn murky and "dirty." The darkness to the water is heavy metals coming out of the skin (aluminum and mercury). Do this once a week during detox and once a month for maintenance.
Alcohol Detox
If you love someone who is an alcoholic, or you are struggling with your own alcohol problem, you may be interested in the process of alcohol detoxification. Alcohol withdrawal symptoms can range from uncomfortable to life threatening, depending on the severity of the addiction, and detoxification can help with this process.
Without treatment, an alcoholic who suddenly discontinues the use of alcohol can experience mild symptoms like sweating, cravings for alcohol and trembling. More severe withdrawal symptoms can include delirium tremens, hallucinations and even convulsions in a small percentage of patients. The detoxification drugs help the body eliminate alcohol and limit these uncomfortable and sometimes dangerous symptoms.
Exercise!
Two forms of exercise are particularly beneficial in detoxing the body. One - aerobic exercise supports detox by encouraging sweating, increasing circulation, breaks down fat, and stimulates the lymphatic system. To get maximum benefits, between 30-90 minutes per session, 3-5 sessions per week. Two - Eastern exercise, the most common are Yoga, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong. Specific advantages to Yoga aiding the detox process are by stretching the muscles, toxins are released, they teach proper breathing, balances inner body energy, and stimulates the lymphatic system.

Sauna Therapy: Eliminating Toxins the Easy Way!
Sweat is a most important elimination route for toxins. Everyone today is exposed to toxic chemicals and heavy metals. Although it is a major eliminative organ, most people's skin is very inactive. Repeated use of the sauna can help slowly restore skin elimination. After all, researches has concluded that our sweat contains far more toxins than urine!
